Now: PM Associate @ Apple; earlier, Research Fellow @ Microsoft Research
What does it mean to be highly visible on social media? This question has been the central focus of my life across experience, inquiry, and praxis.
I started creating viral multimedia campaigns around socio-politics at 18. Interrogating my own positionality on social media as a multidisciplinary artist led me to develop an interest in the sociotechnical, cognitive, + rhetorical factors surrounding online visibility.
At TikTok, I analyzed geopolitical ramifications of viral content, which became relevant in light of its ban in India. As a fellow at the Internet Freedom Foundation, I led creative production around digital rights. My interest led me to Microsoft Research, where I did predoctoral human-computer interaction research exploring the role of social media platforms in sustaining visibility.
Now at 25, I'm interested in developing my own unique praxis of virality + visibility. Outside of my work at Apple, I generate eyeballs for artists and creators for fun and am always interested in perspective-changing critical inquiry.
